In 1996, the House Speaker convened the Special Committee on School Enrollment Management. Because of enrollment discrepancies found by legislative audit, the Committee examined how school districts compiled enrollment figures. Such figures are used to determine amounts of State aid to local subdivisions. The Committee last met January 22, 1997.
