Delegate to Poland and Hungary, American Council of Young Political Leaders, 1993. Member, Ducks Unlimited; National Rifle Association; Maryland Ornithological Society; Nature Conservancy. Charter member, Talbot County Young Republicans. Member, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Participant, Boys State (leadership action program), sponsored by American Legion of Maryland.
