EXPLOSIVES ADVISORY COUNCIL
Effective July 1, 1997, transferred to Department of State Police (Chapter 352, Acts of 1997).

FIRE PREVENTION COMMISSION
Effective July 1, 1997, transferred to Department of State Police (Chapter 352, Acts of 1997).

HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION
Under Division of Correction, renamed Administration and Special Programs on Oct. 1, 1999.

INSTITUTIONAL PAROLE SERVICES
Under Maryland Parole Commission, functions of this unit were assumed by Parole Services in Oct. 1996.

JAIL REVIEW SECTION
Formerly under Pretrial Release Services, Section functions merged in Oct. 1996 with Classification to form Jail Review and Classification under Baltimore City Detention Center.

LEGAL DEPARTMENT
Under Patuxent Institution, disbanded in July 2000.

MARYLAND PENITENTIARY
Under the Division of Correction, renamed Metropolitan Transition Center in Feb. 1998.

STATE FIRE MARSHAL
Effective July 1, 1997, transferred to Department of State Police (Chapter 352, Acts of 1997).

STATE USE INDUSTRIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Renamed State Use Industries Management Council on Oct. 1, 1999 (Chapter 324, Acts of 1999).

VEHICLE THEFT PREVENTION COUNCIL
Effective July 1, 1997, transferred to Department of State Police (Chapter 434, Acts of 1997).
