CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND

MUNICIPALITIES

Charles County has three municipalities: Indian Head, La Plata, and Port Tobacco. La Plata, the county seat, and Port Tobacco each incorporated in 1888. Indian Head formed its own government in 1920.
